Are you struggling with a smelly bin? This is a neat little trick: get a headstart on odours by sprinkling a little baking soda at the bottom of the bin or bin bag before you start filling it up. For a citrusy boost, add a squeeze of lemon, too! If the bin starts to smell before it\u2019s full, add more baking soda to absorb the odour.<\/p>\n

2. Remove oven door grease<\/h2>\n

Oven doors are notoriously hard to keep clean and getting rid of the built-up grease isn\u2019t a fun challenge. Make things easier by giving your dishwasher tablets a new use. To clean the glass, simply dip the tablet in warm water and use it as you would a sponge, gently rubbing the door in circular motions. Leave it to work for half an hour before wiping it off to reveal your clean oven door!<\/p>\n

The build up of minerals and cleaning products that react with hard water can leave your taps running very slowly! Luckily, there\u2019s an easy fix to this. Wrap a vinegar-soaked cloth around the clogged area and leave it on for an hour (or more for severe build up). Remove the cloth and let the water run to remove the remaining debris.<\/p>\n

5. Polish stainless steel sinks<\/h2>\n

Stainless steel sinks may look sleek and modern, but they can quickly become tarnished with stains. To keep yours looking its best, clean and dry it before sprinkling a layer of flour across the surface. Buff the steel with the flour for a shiny, stain-free sink!<\/p>\n

Remember, flour and water make a paste, so rather than rinsing it down the sink it\u2019s best to use a cloth to scoop the excess flour out and pop it in the bin.<\/p>\n
