White kitchen worktops have always been popular with our customers here at Savoy Timber, and in many ways it\u2019s not difficult to see why. They have a timeless appeal, a cool clean look, and they\u2019re brilliant at reflecting natural light, helping us to feel happier and more at home in our kitchens. As an extra bonus, it also tends to make kitchens look more spacious as well – just one more reason why they\u2019re so popular during the summer months!<\/p>\n

Now, it can be all too easy to misjudge the design of a kitchen with white worktops, and accidentally end up creating something bland or dull. To avoid that, we\u2019ve come up with a couple of creative suggestions on how you can use our white laminate kitchen worktops to style your white kitchen.<\/p>\n

White-on-white<\/h2>\n

This is the classic choice, and often preferred as the \u2018ultimate modern aesthetic\u2019. If you\u2019re a fan of white handleless units and glass-fronted cabinetry, you can create an effortlessly contemporary look for your kitchen. Try out a different two-tone<\/h3>\n

As you may already know if you\u2019ve ever had an all-white kitchen, it can sometimes be a bit of a struggle to keep it properly clean, especially if it\u2019s a family home. But if you\u2019re weighing up the decision, it\u2019s worth remembering that a two-tone kitchen provides a great alternative. It keeps that fresh, airy feeling of an all-white kitchen, but allows you to project an extra sense of personality into it through the colour you choose for your cabinetry or other elements.<\/p>\n

\"Making<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth thinking carefully about the sort of colour you choose though, since unlike the ones you choose for your accessories and smaller appliances, it\u2019s not one that can be changed easily. Pale, neutral colours are often a safe choice, such as soft pink or baby blue. As an added bonus, they tend to have quite a calming effect. On the other hand, warmer colours like red and orange can have a more energising effect, especially when contrasted with white!<\/p>\n

Make a splash with colour<\/h3>\n

You might want to go for a fusion of the two ideas we\u2019ve suggested above, by keeping a mainly white kitchen with splashes of colour. There are tonnes of ways to do this – for example, you can choose colourful crockery, or appliances like toasters and microwaves. For something even more temporary, you can use flowers or small bowls of fruit. It\u2019s all great for giving your kitchen added depth and character.<\/p>\n

They can even serve as useful baseplates if you\u2019re experimenting a bit with colour, letting you see how different shades compare and contrast with the white base of your kitchen. If you\u2019ve got a kitchen island for example, that can be a great candidate for a quick lick of paint, letting you trial out a new colour and see how it works with the rest of the kitchen, before committing to painting an entire new wall.<\/p>\n

Look at things a little more black and white<\/h3>\n

Black kitchen worktops can be used a fantastic effect in white kitchens. The contrast can give your space a real dramatic flair, giving your kitchen a visual impact like no other.
