They have that undeniable glamour about them, and they\u2019re available in a stunning range of colours. However, those in family homes or busy environments might want to think twice about expensive stone materials, as they can easily become chipped. Stainless steel can have similar issues \u2013 those its aesthetics are fantastic, even a single scratch can ruin the clean effect entirely. Laminate worktops are an excellent alternative \u2013 they\u2019re cost effective and extremely durable.
