This week on the blog, we\u2019ve decided to take a look at just a couple of the options available, and why they\u2019re equally brilliant for contemporary properties, too!<\/p>\n

This is one of the clear customer favourites amongst our range of cottage style doors, and it\u2019s not hard to see why. With its dark, rich colour and traditional look, it\u2019s the very picture of a rustic, cottage-style door. It\u2019s easy to imagine it swinging wide open on a lovely summer\u2019s day, with a small farmhouse kitchen opening out into a sprawling green field, sunshine beating down on it.<\/p>\n
Of course, that doesn\u2019t mean to say you have to own all that to enjoy this door! You can be content with basking in its slightly nostalgic feel instead, and marvel at the rustic feel it gives your own home.<\/p>\n

This Mexicano Oak Door sports the distinctive vertical panels that are a common feature of many cottage doors; they help to give them that rustic feel that\u2019s traditionally associated with country homes. The vertical panels continue up to six parallel bevelled glazed panels, creating a neatly segmented window that not only looks lovely, but offers some handy practical advantages too. For example, a quick look through the glazed window can reassure you that the kids are playing nicely, and with toughened safety glass you can be sure it won\u2019t shatter if the wind (or a child!) suddenly slams it shut.<\/p>\n
The minimal style of this door also gives it a certain versatility, with owners of contemporary and period properties alike finding it well-suited to every style of home.<\/p>\n

Following closely in the style of the Deanta Glazed Ely Door, this Mexicano Pre-Finished Oak door shares the same vertical panels and cool bevelled glass. This door, however, arrives pre-finished \u2013 essentially, we\u2019ve already done every bit of the hard work for you in sanding, lacquering and painting it before we ship it out to you. That means all that\u2019s left for you to do is to fit it! It has a clear satin diamond hard finish, which makes it a particular favourite amongst owners of more modern and contemporary builds. Like its counterpart above, however, it still has that awesome versatility that allows it to look equally suited to all building sizes and styles.<\/p>\n
